As soon as a child starts to go to school, one of first things we do as a family is, start to clearly define our child’ personal space. This might mean – giving the child his own room, his own bed, cupboard, study space and play space. We also see, how kids welcome and are ready to take build their ‘own’ separate space, distinct from the family space.
This means that the need of having a personal space is an innate need of us human beings. We also know that having a space for self is very peaceful. It calms down our mind. No matter how socially evolved we are, we sometimes just want to be alone. It’s a human need to spent time alone too. It is also possible that we live alone at some stage in our lives – may be as a student or a single person. Might happen right! Regardless of the reason, the need to emphasize our uniqueness and independence stays very much prominent. And one way in which it gets reflected is within our and only our ‘individual space’.

And all this is possible, because they are a subset of your very tastes and preference…and that is unique. Remember…even if you live in the same city, same community which has a row of same looking townhouses, there are no two homes which look the same! Each one’s home is so different, so unique, and so beautiful in its own way. Depending on the unique character and preferences, you can enjoy an impeccable order that works for you. You also have the luxury of deciding where you would like the smallest piece of our home should fit. Or vice versa - enjoy the undisturbed imperfection, which is an expression of your limitless freedom. Therefore, there is no right or wrong. In case of home interiors, each method is good as long as, it is "YOURS".
Regardless of the age and stage of life, each of us has a desire to emphasize our individuality. It is perineal. The space in our homes say a lot about us. It is our home, we can feel at ease, safe and most comfortable. This is this ‘home’ where we come back to every day. It is this space, where we deal with our life every day! The house is a never-ending story of our lives, that we write on our own!
